Tips for Effective Questioning

To get the most accurate and helpful answers from DocuAsk, consider these tips:

  1. Use specific language: As mentioned in the Pro Tips, using specific language will help DocuAsk find relevant information in your documents.

  2. Ask follow-up questions: Don't hesitate to ask follow-up questions to dive deeper into a topic.

  3. Compare information: Try comparing information across multiple documents for comprehensive insights.

  4. Reference specific sections: When applicable, mention specific page numbers or sections to narrow down the search.

Advanced Query Options

DocuAsk offers advanced options to refine your queries:

  1. Advanced settings: Click the "Advanced" button to access additional query options.

  2. Custom search terms: Enable custom search terms to focus your query on specific concepts.

  3. Meta instructions: Provide additional instructions to guide the AI's response format.

  4. Number of references: Adjust the number of references the AI should consider when answering.

  5. Minimum similarity score: Set the threshold for how closely a document section must match your query to be considered relevant.

Document vs. Summary Mode

When viewing documents in the Ask section, you can toggle between two modes:

  1. Document mode: View the full document while asking questions.

  2. Summary mode: View a summary of the document while asking questions.

By mastering the Ask feature, you'll be able to quickly extract valuable information from your documents without having to read through them entirely.
